Perdido Key Fishing Update 12/11/18

With the weather marginal at best we did get to go fishing a few times this week and it sure did not disappoint! On the Perdido Key inshore fishing charters we are seeing quite a few redfish and trout. The redfish are being caught in Pensacola Bay using and kind of live bait available. We are also catching some on artificial as well. These fish are normally too big to keep with redfish having a slot limit of 18"-27". The trout are a great eating fish and normally is you find one there will be tons more with it. These fish are being caught on live, cut, and artificial baits. Look for these fish to be on large pieces of structure such as bridges or broken down docks. The deep sea fishing charters in Perdido have been much of the same as earlier in the year. Vermilion Snapper have been biting fairly well on squid and cut bait such as mackerel. Amberjack have been around as well and are a great fighting fish! Be sure to check us out and give us a call to get on the books! The weather may be cold but the fishing is still red hot!
